Vocal mic for choir


 
Question
What kind of mic do you recommend for vocals in a choir with handheld mic at a distance about 50 cm (1.5 feet)? Is SM57 a good choice? 1 to 3 singers at one mic.

Answer
A condenser mic is a better choice for this application. We assume the mic will be on a mic stand. Correct?
