Difference between MV7X and MV7/MV7+?
Question
What are the main differences between MV7X and MV7 (or MV7+)?
Answer
The MV7 and MV7+ microphones are dynamic hybrid USB and XLR microphones with integrated touch panel and software support for ultimate flexibility and ease-of-use. Their Digital Signal Processor (DSP) allows you to use Auto-Level mode and several effects, controlled via the MOTIV Mix app, for a complete worry-free package.
MV7X is an XLR-only dynamic microphone featuring the same capsule and "Voice Isolation Technology" that the MV7 is known for but without a touch panel or Digital Signal Processing, making it more cost-effective. The MV7X is not a digital device, and so will not show up in Motiv Apps. Since it is an analog-only microphone, and not a USB device, it does not communicate with the computer. The computer will never "see" the MV7X. If you have the MV7X connected to an interface, it is the interface that communicates and shows up on the computer. Motiv software does not recognize non-Shure
